First, the step of choosing ingredients is very important to create a successful product. The rice must be fragrant and sticky Sap Glutinous Rice (nếp sáp). People wash it many times with clean water to remove impurities and then soak it for 4-5 hours to soften the sticky rice.
Coconut cake fillings are extremely diverse, there are 2 main types including mung beans and bananas. For bananas, people carefully choose ripe bananas. For mung beans, people cook them until smooth.
