2. Tan Ky Ancient House

This house is a very famous ancient house in Hoi An. After a century, even through the historic flood in 1964, the house remained intact. Tan Ky ancient house is a combination of Vietnamese, Chinese and Japanese architectural styles in each pattern. 

In 1990, Tan Ky ancient house was honored to be awarded the title of National Historical and Cultural Monument and recognized by UNESCO as a world cultural heritage.

3. Chùa cầu (Japanese Covered Bridge)

Chùa cầu is known as the tourist symbol of the old town. This place makes a strong impression thanks to its Japanese-style architecture. Best of all, this place is also printed on Vietnamese currency notes. Chùa cầu in Hoi An was built in the 17th century by Japanese merchants contributing money. This place is associated with the legend of the monster named Namazu.
